Toronto BJJ Annual
Saturday was a really great day for Black Widow Tattoo. As very grateful members of Toronto BJJ, we were happy and proud to be present at the Annual, where the entire academy gathers at year's end to compete, to witness belt promotions, and to close another year of hard training and friendship together.
This year was very special, as we got to witness nine black belts being awarded. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt is arguably the hardest black belt to achieve out of any martial art in the world, and typically takes around 10 years to achieve, and we were so proud to be there to witness our friends receiving theirs, as well as all the other belt promotions along the way.
We closed down the shop for the event, went and competed, and also had the honor of wishing our head professor, Jorge Britto, a very happy birthday.
Jiu Jitsu is a hard journey, not always a kind one physically or mentally, but with immense rewards for those who are willing to pay the price. We are so happy to be a part of Toronto BJJ, and encourage anyone with even a passing interest in the martial art to come and train with us. It's changed all our lives, and it will change yours as well.
